On the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated on April 6, 2026, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee reaffirms its mission: to make sport a driver of social cohesion and solidarity.

Established by the United Nations in partnership with the International Olympic Committee, this day highlights the role of sport as a vector of respect, dialogue, and peace.

In this context, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee took part in the global #WhiteCard campaign, launched by Peace and Sport, which promotes sport as a true school of life, conveying essential values such as empathy, resilience, and cooperation.

The 2026 theme also underscores a major issue: today, 250 million children around the world are not in school. Protecting sport also means helping to protect their future, by defending their right to learn, play, and thrive.

This initiative was brought to life through an Olympic visit organized for primary school students, as part of the Olympic Academy program.

By raising the white card, a universal symbol of peace, participants expressed their commitment to the values of sport and their support for a more united future.

Through this initiative, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee reaffirms its commitment to promoting sport as a vehicle for values, serving social cohesion and living together.
