Taranto 2026: Moroccan Delegation Gathers Ahead of Departure for Italy
The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (MNOC) held a gathering on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, for members of the Moroccan delegation set to compete at the 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games, taking place in Taranto, Italy, from 21 August to 3 September 2026.
The gathering marked the final stage of preparations before the delegation’s departure for Italy. Athletes, coaches, medical staff and administrative officials came together for a final briefing covering key aspects of Morocco’s participation, as well as essential information regarding accommodation, organisation and competition arrangements.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to highlight the responsibility that comes with representing Morocco on the international stage, with particular emphasis on discipline, commitment and team spirit throughout the Games.
Members of the delegation were also briefed on the support measures put in place by the MNOC, particularly in the medical, logistical and organisational areas, with the aim of providing athletes with the best possible environment in which to focus on their respective competitions.
Morocco will be represented at Taranto 2026 by 120 athletes ( 72 men and 48 women ) competing across 18 sports, as the national delegation prepares to represent the Kingdom at the 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games.
