The meeting brought together physicians, technical staff, and members of the sports community to discuss issues related to weight management, sports nutrition, and their impact on athletes’ health and performance.
Participants explored several key topics, including body composition, the fundamentals of sports nutrition, weight management strategies for athletes, and the interactions between sleep, stress, and nutritional balance.
Boxing, the featured sport of this edition, was also highlighted through a presentation on its technical and medical specificities. Discussions addressed the main injuries and health issues associated with the sport, as well as the management of maxillofacial injuries in athletes.
The meeting concluded with a practical workshop on hand and wrist strapping techniques, providing participants with an opportunity to learn about protective methods commonly used in combat sports.
