Moroccan Boxing Shines at the U19 World Cup in Bangkok

Our national boxing team concluded its participation in the U19 World Cup with a positive tally of four bronze medals. 

The competition, held in Bangkok from March 8 to 15, 2026, brought together the world's elite with 485 boxers representing 79 countries.  

This collective achievement was led by Marouane JAAFARI (70 kg) and Mohamed OUAHBI (+91 kg) in the men's events. In the women's categories, Rihab HAMDOUNE (51 kg) and Aya SEBAI (65 kg) also delivered strong performances to reach the podium in their respective weight classes.  

This result marks an important milestone for national boxing. It is indeed the first major performance achieved since the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation officially joined the new international governing body of the sport. These medals confirm the potential of Morocco's rising boxing talents on the international stage.
