Jawad ABDELMOULA on the Podium at the Lanzarote Triathlon World Cup
Moroccan triathlon made its mark on the international stage this Saturday, March 14, 2026. Jawad ABDELMOULA secured the bronze medal at the Triathlon World Cup held in Lanzarote, Spain.
After a solid performance in the swim followed by the cycling segment within the lead group, the Moroccan triathlete finished the race in 00:55:01. He placed third following a final sprint, behind Spain's David CANTERO DEL CAMPO and Germany's Tim HELLWIG.
This result marks the first podium of the 2026 season for the Moroccan Olympian and three-time African Champion on the World Triathlon circuit. A former long-distance runner transitioned to triathlon, Jawad ABDELMOULA confirms his current form by recording his first significant result of the year.
