CNOM: A New Distinction with First Prize at the ISOH 2026 Olympic History Youth Competition

A few months after Moroccan students won the 5th edition of the International Olympic Case Study Competition (CIEC) organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Morocco once again stands out on the international Olympic academic stage.

Following this achievement, Mouad BENOUZEKRI, who supervised the winning Moroccan team composed of students from the Institute of Sports Professions at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, was selected as the candidate of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (MNOC) to participate in the IOC Young Ambassadors of Olympic History Competition (ISOH Olympic History Youth Competition).

Organized as part of the activities of the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece, this competition brings together young enthusiasts of Olympic history from different countries. It aims to promote research, preserve and transmit the Olympic heritage through projects highlighting the history, values, and great figures of the Olympic Movement.

Thanks to his poster entitled “The Olympic Movement in Morocco: Past, Present and Future Perspectives,” Mouad BENOUZEKRI, who was supported by the CNOM operational teams throughout the development of this project, won the 1st Prize of the 2026 edition. His work retraces the major milestones of Morocco’s Olympic history, from the establishment of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee in 1959 and Morocco’s first participation in the Rome 1960 Olympic Games, to the achievements of the champions who have shaped the history of national sport.

This new distinction highlights the excellence of Moroccan expertise in the field of Olympic education and culture, while showcasing the richness of the country’s sporting heritage on the international stage.
