The 24th edition of the Grand Prix SAR Princess Lalla Meryem concluded on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the USCM Club in Rabat, following a week of competition featuring several players from the international circuit as part of the WTA 250 tournament organized by the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation.

Considered one of the leading women’s tennis events in Africa and the Arab world, the tournament, which is part of the official Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) calendar, represents an important stage of the clay-court season ahead of Roland-Garros.

In the singles draw, the title went to Croatia’s Petra MARCINKO, the tournament’s sixth seed and current world No. 76, who claimed the first WTA 250 title of her career in Rabat after defeating Ukraine’s Anhelina KALININA in the final.

The doubles title was won by the pair composed of Belgium’s Magali KEMPEN and Hong Kong’s Eudice CHONG, who defeated Aldila SUTJIADI and Vera ZVONAREVA in the final.

This edition was also marked by the strong performance of Moroccan player Yasmine KABBAJ, who reached the quarterfinals after securing two victories against experienced players from the WTA circuit.

The trophy presentation ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Faïçal LARAÏCHI, President of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee and President of the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation, who presented the trophy to Croatia’s Petra MARCINKO, winner of this 24th edition.

The tournament also marked an important first for Moroccan officiating, with the appointment of two Moroccan umpires for the finals: Ayoub BZIT for the doubles final and Mohamed EL JENNATI for the singles final.
